  1. Alright, Positive news should also be posted first morning and haven't seen spam ! Yay first morning I don't have to log in. you see, there is progress
  2. Please Ultimaker get your SHIT TOGETHER !! and let us know there is actually being something done about the current SPAM problem. it's 12:46 and still it's SPAM heaven :(
  3. It's now 12:40, and still the site is plastered in SPAM ! get you fucking shit together Ultimaker. just reset all passwords, and manually verify all accounts ! the spammers could have made thousands of account already, and keep using already made ones every day :(
  4. And a new morning, and a new wall of spam, I had to click through 5 pages of spam to get any new posts :(
  5. I would like to see a separate part where commercial postings can be made, and not everywhere, like this: https://ultimaker.com/en/community/view/12466-3d-printen-introductie-in-zb45-zaterdag-25-april
  6. Thanks that explains the logout issues and makes it understandable and changed my settings for the notifications, thanks

    heated bed

  8. Yes please make the top bar smaller !, and less obnoxious
  9. I did find the old forum a bit old looking, but it was much more easy to oversee postings, now it you have to do a lot...lot of scrolling and more scrolling and clicking, and more clicking, to find anything. while the clean look is very nice, there is way to much space between postings. I use Firefox most of the time, and I had to zoom out the page 2 times to get a better usable overview. Being able to see the last post dated, after I last visited, is something I really prefer, it gives a nice and fast overview for new postings. and what's up with the emoticons, they look absolutely terrible :(8) they are the blandest (does that word exist ?) I have ever seen ! please use a bit more color and a clearer set. [edit] and some emoticons don't even work 8):( [edit 2] please make the "Follow and receive reply notifications" tab unchecked as standard, it is a lot of extra clicking to do. and every time I edit it is checked again. [edit 3] the make-up of the comment box, has a different make-up and fonts when it is posted, then when I am typing in the comment box itself. the single enters, I do, are not shown, and everything is posted behind everything. [edit 4] there used to be a sign next to the thread to show I had posted in that thread, this is no longer there. And I keep having to log in all the time, what's up with that ?
  12. Buy a Mac guys I converted them all to PDF for you Download the Tutorial and the files here: Tutorial: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8108870/Tutorial_for_Forum.pdf Presentation: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8108870/3D-Printing_final_Forum.pdf Results for tolerances and shrinkage: ABS: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8108870/Summary%20-%20ABS.pdf Nylon 645: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8108870/Summary%20-%20Nylon%20645.pdf (Please copy the files, they will be deleted from my Dropbox in a few weeks)
  13. Al een analoge-staalborstel geprobeerd ?
  14. Guess everybody wants a piece of the 3D printing money pie looks nice, but you can get exactly the same setup for a fraction of the cost, even in the Kickstarter comments somebody links to a much....much cheaper option: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dental-Lab-Electric-Wax-Waxer-Carving-Pen-Pencil-Carver-with-6-Tips-Laboratory-/151630567983?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item234de2da2f Their rebuttle, that their tool is especially made is Bull !, I am using a cheap solder station (that I already owned) with a fine tip, and that also works great. https://www.conrad.nl/nl/zd-937-digitaal-soldeerstation-50-w-150-tot-450-c-076727.html save your cash and buy the solder station or wax tool pen
  15. Do you have any of the a-b combinations on ? in your case I think they should both be off (bottom right)
  16. WOW, if it is true, then it is going to shake up the 3D printing world I hope it is not going to take years for this to gets to consumer level.
  17. I had the same thing happen with a silver PLA, I thought it was a result of very slight temperature differences during printing with changed speed at certain layers some colours are more susceptible of temperature changes. you could test print a small cube, to see if it happens with even surfaces.
  18. With my limited experience with 3D scanning, I know about some problems, transparent and reflective models won't scan properly, the reflection always mess up the camera or sensor, there are special white powder spray cans especially for this purpose. scanning smaller object scans could be because of the limited resolution and lens deformation, and the scanner is unable to stitch the scanned sides together, most scanners have a ideal distance to size ratio, that makes for ideal scans. I know that with scanning smooth surfaces you need a rough surface next to it, for the scanner to have a common point to stitch the scans together, and very structured objects can have to many unknown points to get a good scan stitched. also dark and light colors can really mess up depth perception of the scanner, and a even color surface is better, again that's why the powder spray cans are there for. you still need to find the ideal way to scan objects and have to learn what you can and cannot scan, try some pillows, they are more uniform in color and have not to complex shapes. stay away from transparent and reflective surfaces. http://3d-scanning-tips.blogspot.nl/
  19. I looked at your gallery, while the idea of the sense scanner is great, the resolution is still severely lacking for my taste, I really hope high resolution 3D scanners will come down in price
  20. And I think you are wrong The big corporations think they have to tightly control their intellectual property, but only to make more money, if I ever buy a Nespresso machine, I would really like to be able to print "replacement parts" myself for free, I don't need the whole file of the machine, and not pay large sums of money, for a replacement set, that has 10 parts, and I only need one from the set. like now with Apple gear, they will be dissected to see what is inside, and in the future 3D scanned ! they can't stop it, and DRM is only there to tightly control, and give rights to sue. there will be more Ifixit like sites that will have the 3D files for free, and will be be better for everyone, the corporations wont have to make a lot of spare parts and store them for years to come, and gives rise to a whole new world of lifehacking and customization as soon a new product is released you can buy and OWN that product, and no one can stop you or me, drawing and making spare parts, the Chinese do it all the time. Giving the customers to possibility to make and customize the product will create a better brand loyalty, and more income for the corporations ! they just don't get it yet, and they are clinging on to the old money grabbing ways [stepping off soapbox]
  21. I would like to see some examples of scans you have done, an image of the original object and scan
  22. it was the o"l "it was maintenance" excuse :-P
  23. +1 Don't get me wrong, but you are asking to test a DRM system, on a forum that advocates open source ! I really hope your, and all other DRM systems on 3D printing will never work !
