a second hand Kinect sensor (+/- € 50) with Skanect (€99) gives the same result as the Sense. The software is easy to work with. But the same usb cable...
meshmixer is usually good for fixing scans.
is it a complicated model? Something like a trophy you can model yourself in a cad program. The result will be a lot cleaner.
I did reformat the thing, same result...
Bought it at a games shop, they use it to alter Wii stuff, and did cost €2,50.
That would be enough for a lot of gcode files otherwise the length to scroll through is endless.
and what about a smaller card?
I have a 512MB SDcard but the controller says 'no card'
is there a restriction?
Would be nice to use these, they are easier to get and much cheaper.
yesterday I saw somebody using his own sd card on one of our UM1 printers (we have ten of them at iFabrica, Amsterdam) and that was a 32GB SDHC card and he had no problems.
but it is already there since the last firmware update…??..
in the ulticontroller (UM1) there is a pause added; the head moves to the front-left corner, and you can do whatever you want. Hit the button and it resumes the print.
or, with the latest firmware, it is in the controller menu (Ultimaker1) Works!
On a mac the pauseatz is not working, at least, I can't get it to work. It shows up in the menu, but at layer view nothing shows up.
if the bed is just a little off, you can also push or lift the bed gently and see what happens with the skirt or brim.
Since the bed is on springs you can play with this a little. If the difference is too big you always adjust the z screw. When the first layer is good, the rest will follow.
it is only on thin walled objects, that the nozzle travels outside the model. I think Daid knows about it, and hopefully will take care of it. 13.09/10 do not have this.
I keep the 13.04 (on a Mac) for the plugins, especially the 'Pause at height', or 'Change Filament at Z'.
And for comparing what kind of support is better.
I use the 13.09 for thin walled objects because 13.11/12 gives an ugly z-scar at the moment.
Does the 'Change Filament at Z' work in the 13.11/12test version (Mac) work?
I put the folder from Cura 13.04 plugins in the 13.12-test; they are visible in the plugin tab, but it doesn't do anything when I look at the layers view.
Is this also because of the G0 G1 thing?
