  1. Nice idea. The most challenging part might be to achieve a high precision in positioning.
  2. Do the plugins run properly like that? No problems in pluginInfo.py?
  3. As I worked on that part of the Cura code as well, I have to wish you good luck...
  4. Any reason you didn't take the RetractWhileCombing plugin for that purpose? (Writing your own plugin is certainly a good reason... )
  5. Hmmm... any changes in the plugin settings would require manual triggering of the plugin process. Goes a bit into the direction of switching off auto-slicing, just for the plugins. Personally, I wouldn't do that. But I never dug so deep into that part of the Cura code... I think it doesn't make much sense to do major changes on the GUI code at this time. PU somehow seems to be closer than before...
  6. If you only want to use one extruder and using support you have to make sure the support setting uses the correct extruder ('support dual extrusion').
  7. Switching between extruders seems to be 'normal', means it switches from one extruder to the other once per layer. However, the position of the print seems to be the same for the print itself but not for the wipe&prime tower. If the offset of the second extruder is specified in Cura but not in Marlin, then the position shift should be visible in the gcode. Daid or Tim might want to have a look into this. I usually recommend to add the offset to Marlin (and recompile it) and set the offset in Cura to zero.
  8. Good news for you, Robert (and anybody else who was annoyed by the additional progress bar)! From next Cura version on, plugins can use Cura's standard progress bar with an additional label. First plugin to do so will be TweakAtZ which will be included in an updated version for that purpose.
  9. Very strange. The plugin might only fail if there is no M109 command (or an M109 without S-option). Could you check your gcode please? Do you have an unorthodox start.gcode? Please also make sure that if you use another plugin which changes the nozzle temperature, e.g. TweakAtZ, AFTER the SelectExtruder plugin, you have to apply the temperature for the second extruder; if you use the other plugin before the SelectExtruder plugin, you have to apply the temperature for the first extruder. And the SelectExtruder plugin does not work with dual extrusion prints at all.
  10. Uhmm... no, this is an ini file... the file generated by Cura and named *.gcode would be interesting...
  11. Please try https://www.google.com/search?q=print+usb+site:umforum.ultimaker.com&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&gws_rd=cr&ei=izb_VPDEJJL1aMbigJAC ...
  12. Can you maybe put your gcode file into your dropbox and provide a link here? Please don't post the whole gcode here ...
  13. Those who suffer from the dip bug and use the RetractWhileCombing plugin: please make sure you have the newest version because it was a dip bug there...
  16. Paper? Reminds me of old-fashioned 2D-printing... I'll consider it; but it will take some time as there has just been a major update recently...
  17. Maybe you want to check if: - The glass of the heated bed is clean (clean it with a dish washer agent or similar...) - the glass really lies on the heating pcb/aluminium as many heated beds (UM2 or HBK) suffer from sink bores not deep enough resulting in the glass laying on the screw heads only instead on the aluminium plate - a reduction of the fan speed improves the situation
  18. If I'm not completely wrong, someone at Ultimaker (almost sure it was Sander in 'company update') mentioned that Ultimaker will put every machine onto Github six months after launch.
  21. @3Dnerd: If you request a bottom/top tweak for TweakAtZ https://github.com/Dim3nsioneer/Cura-Plugins/issues, I might consider it for a next version...
  22. Why download? It's included in Cura...
  23. You can set it to zero if you include it into the firmware (Marlin). Did so with my UMO to get rid of this bug.
  24. Na, dann guten Druck ins obere Furttal... ;-)
  25. No, the official upgrade was cancelled: http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/9344-company-update/&do=findComment&comment=90597 However, all necessary parts will be available in the webshop as spare parts at some point, I heard... The current dual extrusion capabilities in Cura were made for the experimental Dual Extrusion Kit for the Ultimaker Original.
