Das Printinterface von Cura heisst zwar 'Pronterface', weil es wie die Pronterface-Oberfläche aussieht. Pronterface/Printrun ist aber eine eigenständige Software. Den Download findet man easy durch googeln.

You indeed got the wrong pulleys. There should be two with a 5mm bore and 10 with a 8mm bore. Welcome anyway to the forum... :-P

The list of changes is usually incorporated when a stable release is published. For the changes incorporated into release candidates you will have to check the Github source. Afaik the idea behind that scheme is that people testing RCs should be able to get the information from the source commits. People who have troubles finding the information there are recommended to work with stable releases.

A slight backlash issue might be the reason. The effect appears usually when Cura changes the print direction for a multiple-part infill.

Du hast nicht zufälligerweise noch die 14.07er Version des Cura-Plugins RetractWhileCombing aktiviert? Die hatte nämlich genau diesen Bug drin. Hatte. Weil es inzwischen die Version 15.02 gibt. Mit Bugfix...

You can keep your Marlin configuration file and recompile it with new versions. The official fork at least makes sure that older config files still work with new versions.

You must have additional information which are not released in the thread you provided the link. I haven't seen anything in this thread there which tells me this dual extruder works at all. Being honest, I think it's a marketing hoax until someone proves me wrong.

I think 15.01 takes into account that the nozzle is mounted asymmetrically on the printhead of the UM2.

Refraction (transmission) is not relevant for thermography. The reflectivity is. You have to take the background into account for infrared images. And - this is important - you have to use the right emissivity (usually called 'epsilon') for the surface if you want to have a quantitatively correct image.

I could introduce a behavior 'Apply to last layer only' in TweakAtZ...

Hmmm... that would be a new scope. So far, the TweakAtZ always did one thing: changing print parameters. It never changed paths...if that's what you mean.

Ich würde ev. mal den bei Deltatower.ch probieren. Der Typ ist jedenfalls der Richtige (NEMA17, 200 Schritte à 1.8°). Bis 1A hält der auf jeden Fall aus. Ich betreibe meinen UM2 nur mit etwa 900mA.

That's why I put some quote signs there... of course it is not officially supported. But parts needed for that tweak might be made available by UM. As far as I know (and I was following the topic quite closely), the issue was a thermal one with both hotends heating to the max temperature (260°C). I remember Daid mentioning somewhere that it actually worked for dual-PLA extrusion. That means it should e.g. also work for PLA and PVA. Remains the issue with the second nozzle hitting the print. There, Daid recently published an experimental plugin to switch the idle nozzle to a lower temperature. That means the nozzle shrinks a bit which might help to avoid collisions. It does on the UMO. The reason why UM does not officially support a second nozzle is that it does not work for any settings a single nozzle is capable of. Any UM staff please correct me if I got something wrong.

There are new versions available: RetractWhileCombing was updated to version 15.02 (download see https://github.com/Dim3nsioneer/Cura-Plugins/wiki/Retract-While-Combing-plugin). The new version mainly offers an option for enabling retraction on the first and on the last layer. The TweakAtZ was updated to version 4.0.1 (see https://github.com/Dim3nsioneer/Cura-Plugins/wiki/Tweak-At-Z-plugin). It is a pure bugfix. The bug is within the code for tweaking the print speed. The bug resulted in every G1 command written twice in the gcode. This is mainly cosmetic. It will not affect the print result but lead to increased gcode file sizes. The new version will also be bundled with the next Cura version.

Ist das im abgehängten Zustand? Beim UMO gibt es nämlich den Effekt, dass ein defekter Schrittmotortreiber selbst bei ausgeschaltetem Druck den Motor ein ganz komisches Drehverhalten zeigen lässt. Theoretisch könnte sich das bei der UM2-Elektronik ähnlich auswirken, darum unbedingt mit ausgestecktem Motor testen.

Wenn der Kopf sich tatsächlich nur noch in eine Richtung bewegen würde, müsste er inzwischen am rechten Rand draussen kleben. Aber die beiden Dinge haben sicher miteinander zu tun. Ich vermute mal, dass sich etwas verkantet. Persönlich würde ich mal die Pulleys und die Riemen der x-Richtung überprüfen. Ev. gibt es eine Kollision mit einem Endschalter-Kabel? Hörst Du ein Skippen in die andere Richtung? Wackelkontakt am Motorenkabel könnte natürlich auch sein. Du könntest auch mal den kurzen Riemen der x-Achse lösen und mit Pronterface über USB die Funktion des x-Motors überprüfen.

I had this effect with several versions of Cura during last year. After installing a new versions the effect was often gone. I thought it was something video driver specific but I'm not sure at all.

My best result: 25s heatup time and 155-160°C (well not with Daid's plugin but with a self-written one which works the same way... )

Die Online-Berechnung von Diamond Age taugt nicht so viel. Aber die Versandkosten sind natürlich ein signifikanter Kostenanteil. Ist ja durchaus zu erwarten, wenn man etwas um die halbe Welt schickt, oder? Das ist auch bei vielen Gütern des täglichen Bedarfs (z.B. Lammfleisch aus NZL) auch nicht anders, nur sieht man dort die Versandkosten nicht explizit. Gerne organisiere ich aber weitere Sammelbestellungen. Im Moment ist gerade eine in der Ausführung (für zum Aufspringen leider zu spät). Aber je nach Interesse kann die nächste ja dann auch früher starten...
