  1. Can you post some of your setting so we can see what temps and speeds you are using? Also what printer are you using? This can be added to your profile so we can see straight away. What material are you using?
  2. Oh no. You have a really good idea that heaps of people really like so i think you will do well.
  3. @DidierKlein I see we are competing against each other in the Time-lapse contest. May the best lapse win
  4. These calculators and articles maybe of use. I have found it annoying also. I normally just add .2 or .3mm to the nut and flatten the external part of the thread on the bolts.
  5. My favorates are a modeling Knife and a Blowtorch
  6. You might need to save more then just pennies I'm guessing it will closer to the latter if not more.
  7. Yes they are the screws to remove the main board cover.
  8. Glow fill is very abrasive and you may have worn out your nozzle. You need to use hard nozzles when using glow fill. You can do an atomic pull to clean out any blockages in the nozzle if needed.
  9. Maybe a X test piece like in the LayFoam video would be good as it will be better to test flexibility and strength. Also its a Fast print. Does the foam dry stiff but the absorb water and go soft again? I found that with most of the fancy materials, the manufacturers print with them using 0.2 layers. you will notice colorfabb pretty much uses 0.2 for everything. So I'm guessing using higher layers will have a big impact on the end result.
  10. You put a stl into cura. When you select save to SD, Cura will save a gcode file to the SD Card. If you look on the SD card it will be full of gcode files not STL's So of you download a gcode you just put it directly onto the ad card. You just need to make sure you have the correct gcode file for your printer.
  11. Look at the actual fan drawing and it should state the connector. The fans are 12v and connected in serries where the fans plug in at the hot end.
  12. Well I have been working in 30+ degC heat all day so I'm trying to turn my room into winter with my air con on high.
  13. Diamond age is pretty good to apart from the spools are different also.
  14. UM2 Uses two 12v fans and wires them together to make up the 24v supply. If you want just one fan then you will need a 24v one. They come with the bare wires. If you want the plugs they can also be bought on Ebay. Just check on the Github for the plug part numbers and search them.
  15. Sometimes you need glue sometimes not. I use it as a just in case. Cos a if a print comes off then you would be wishing you used the glue in the first place. I normally lightly wet the glass the wipe on the glue. The wet glass makes it so only a thin layer sticks. This can last a very long time without having to re apply more.
  16. For the fans, Look at the Sunon website and look at the fans for the size and voltages you want. then use that model number and search on ebay for them.
  17. Yes you just type in the size and it will change. you may have to unlock the keep uniform scale to get all the exact dimensions you need. But all the screw holes will also be adjusted so they wont work. Do you only have the STL or do you have access to the original design file as it will probably be best to edit the design.
  18. Yeah I understand this and it would be the most ideal, but If I'm not getting it direct then I would like some more options. As stated earlier, my local re-seller doesn't even list the UM2+ and there UM2's are more expensive then me sourcing somewhere else. If this changes in the future then I will more then happy get it locally. But until I see the benefit I will be shopping around.
  19. There are people like me who live all around the world searching for some of these less standard parts. The only other place to get them other then Ultimaker support is Aliexpress or ebay. These can be of unreliable quality. So listing them on your store and showing that they are genuine parts gives someone like me the confidence of knowing that I can get what i need and of good quality. But in understand if you don't list them.
  20. There is mention of sunon ones in the UM2+ but which model numbers they are I'm not sure. A kit set to upgrade will be available later though.
  21. Can you move the head around by hand? You can unclip the head assembly from the black guides that are connected to the belts. One removed you can individually check to see which one might be stuck.
