  1. juhhmmm....like it.... couldn't do this without the pva
  2. you probably mean: deselect: preferences -> center camera when item is selected
  3. it depends on the situation, when you put in a new material, the nozzle is full. When a model is done and you restart something, the last model had a retraction, so there is less material in the nozzle, and then you need the extra... (sorry in English)
  4. I could not get to them. I would normally go from home-> ga-> bovenliggende map naar de bibliotheek folder, because this folder is hidden. But this would bring me to a different application support folder where there cura folder was missing. Confusing.. Even a search would not bring me to the installed plugin.. But now I have the Bibliotheek visible in the finder and that is the right one..
  5. used AppCleaner to trash 2.3.1, and it is back now....pff... I will wait for the next release..
  6. put the plugin in the plugin folder through 'Show Configuration Folder' yesterday. Just restarted Cura to make it show up, but it is stuck at the splash screen and quits when it comes to 'loading interface...'
  7. yes it is a bug, reported it already and hope for a solution in the next release! Use it a lot also, the workaround is to add more skirt lines to get the material going before the actual object starts.
  8. on the scaffold site: http://e3d-online.com/Scaffold-Support-Material they mentioned this: "If in doubt, dry it out on a heated bed at 45C" but this is another material, but might be useful..
  9. or this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1810823/#files same idea, but in a plastic bag..
  10. did you save them as separate stl's? If you save them from your cad as part1. part2 and part3 and load all 3 of them in Cura, they show up next to each other on the build plate. Shift-select your 3 parts and right-click choosing merge models will position them back as in your cad drawing. The 'Automatically drop models to the build plate' function means that they are independent of your cad values in the z direction and are resting on the bed. Looks like you used the 'ensure models are kept apart' to allow models to intersect. When they are separate you can add different settings to each part.
  11. you can try to set the flow a bit higher like 105%-110% or set the line width to 0.35 change one setting at a time to see if there is a difference, don't change everything at the same time. It is harder to evaluate what makes the difference..
  12. yes, that would be smart, but will be very expensive: new board €357, 2 times um2 upgrade €955... it is easier to buy a um3 then.. umo+ will have the same problem with the size of the printhead.. more fun to adapt the umo dual upgrade I have already, this means only adding magnets, fan and something clever to put it all together..
  13. in Cura 2.3.1 there is the 'initial layer height' that is set to 0.3 mm by default. Maybe this is too much for you if your nozzle is close to the bed. If a setting you're looking for is not there, you can add them to the list on you're right hand: preference -> settings. Or look at help -> online documentation for all the tips and guides for Cura.
  14. I find that the glue stick works best if you dilute it a bit with water and wipe it across the glass in an even layer that will dry up to a very thin film when the heated bed kicks in. When the applied glue stick is not diluted it will stay thick and flexible, so for small parts it is not good. You should not see the glue, then you're good...
  15. sounds good, difference for UMO and UM2 because of the middle fan indeed, and the whole printhead including the fans are in the upgrade, but not for the UMO, that is one fan on the left. This one could be permanent on the central head and not on the parked ones in the corner.
  16. pvc glue works well 2 components glue
  17. for the umo, (probebly the um2 as well), do they share the same fan or does each head need to have it's own?
  18. simulator does not show anything unusual. there are some reports about reinstalling Cura and deleting old files in Windows...
  19. no problems here, it slices just fine on the default settings of 2.3.1 (Mac) so it should be something on your pc, graphic drivers perhaps?
  20. can you share your stl to see if your problem can be replicated? Did you check your model (xray) for mistakes?
  21. (sorry, in English, can read/speak German, but writing..) did you see it happen? When it is always at the same height you could see what happens, like drop of the build plate or strange movements or material issues.. And I know, when you are looking for it, it never happens...
  22. it says that it will run with 'normal models', so normal use. Most models are normal, but for instance scanned models are heavy (lots of triangles). Like most other software that deals with bigger files (music, photo's) you want some more power.
  23. Don't know if these things already have your attention (probably, yes I hope) but to be sure: - one at a time: retraction issue when starting the second object: not enough material in the nozzle. - saving to removable drive: doesn't give a warning to overwrite if the same file is already on the sd card. When using save to file, it does give the warning.
  24. here are the spec's: https://ultimaker.com/en/resources/20406-installation-cura-2-1
