  1. We already had to re-implement 50% of what you see on the screen. At a certain point you don't want to make more changes than you already are. But feel free to open an issue on our github with suggestions about how to improve the interface. After we're done getting 5.0 stable we will have a look at what to do next 🙂
  2. What is independent support layer? Anyhow, could you report the issues on github and provide a project file that reproduce the issue?
  3. Keep reporting things on github and we will fix them ASAP 🙂
  4. Well, that's a firmware issue, which is an entirely different team. As you might imagine, we also started these changes a bit longer than 10 hours ago 😉
  5. It would be nice if you could be a bit more concrete. A lot of the stuff in the showcase is about Cura, and we have a pretty decent balance between fixing existing issues and introducing new features.
  6. It's a behavior that is triggered by a plugin. The issue is also patched on our end and should no longer happen for 5.0
  7. It's probably the acceleration settings that are set in the machine profile. Since we don't actually have Anycubic Vipers, we can't test the values that people provide us (and all non -ultimaker machines are contributed to us, they are not made by Ultimaker).
  8. Upgrade to windows 10. Windows 7 is no longer supported by almost everyone (including Microsoft). We dropped official support for it as well, as it was taking us too much time to keep making sure that everything worked.
  9. Yes, yes it does. Platform adhesion is definitely a setting that is material dependent. The reason that it's asking you is because you didn't store it in a material profile, but in a quality profile. Every profile can already have all the settings. Although many people seem to think that there is such a thing as a "Material only setting", we've found that that is hardly ever the case. Even something like printing temperature can be influenced by what you're trying to print (eg; If you want to print faster, you should print at a higher temperature, which means it's not really a material only setting!) There is a plugin that allows you to add all settings to your material profile. We've been considering adding parts of (or the entirety) of the features of that plugin to the main program.
  10. Maybe it's better to ask that on a forum dedicated to Ender printers. I don't think you will find many people being able to help you with that here.
  11. Sorry! I was super busy with making sure that the Cura 5.0 release is done in time. Anyhow! You even got a response from someone that works at Ultimaker 😉
  12. USB printing is shaky at best. Since Ultimaker printers dont need USB printing, it's not something we support. That being said; The USB printing has nothing to do with the M1. So they are bullshitting about that. There are certain things that don't work correct on the M1 (rendering, etc). That being said; We would welcome fixes from them to resolve the USB printing issues.
  13. I don't know anything about how anycubic handles material profiles. So maybe it's better to ask them how this should work?
  14. Select the model and look what the fields in the scale tool say:
  15. The best place to put feature requests is on github. See https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/new/choose
  16. The Cura 5.0 release should also solve the problem, but you will have to wait a bit until the release.
  17. You don't need to run it from source to do that. Cura has a very extensive plugin system that you could use for that, but it would require a fair amount of python coding to achieve that. You could also try to run the engine without the frontend, which would mean you have to do more stuff yourself, but it does give you more freedom (both in what is possible and what coding language you use to achieve that)
  18. What printers are you trying to transfer the profiles to?
  19. I don't think there is. There is a limit to what can (and should) be done in the slicing software. I think your only option is to actually change the CAD design.
  20. Did you already check out this plugin: https://marketplace.ultimaker.com/app/cura/plugins/fieldofview/MaterialSettingsPlugin
  21. Uh. I really don't know. As far as camera's go for the UM3, you will probably also have to do some software setup to get that working. Especially if you also want the system to recognize the right one.
  22. Do you have a network drive mounted? If so, could you unmount it? It's a known issue that this can cause problems.
