  1. That's really good news. If the ferrite core really solves that problem, then there must be some really heavy pickup resulting in wrong step numbers. However, the test with the concentric infill shows that it is a problem of the stepper motor and the e-coordinate respectively. Linear infill and concentric infill strongly differ in the acceleration situation (with linear, motion comes to a stop at each line end, well, almost - while with concentric infill motion is limited by the x-y-jerk). So far, everything looks consistent.
  2. Uhhm... I would rather call this a work-around than a solution except you figured out which setting made the difference... In that case, please let us know so others may profit from this thread.
  3. If you can wait for a few days, this new coupler (first two entries on the page) might be interesting for you...
  4. @Nicolinux: I wonder if you would have the same problem with a different infill pattern? The new Cura e.g. allows for concentric infill. That might give some new hints about the origin.
  5. In the Marlin version of Ultimaker there is a general flow rate setting which can be adjusted by using M221 Sxxx as @neotko wrote. Furthermore you can set an additional flow rate for each extruder in that firmware by M221 Ty Sxxx (y=0 for the first extruder, y=1 for the second and so on). In the general Marlin version only the individual flow rate exists. M221 Sxxx would change the flow rate of the first extruder.
  6. @Nicolinux: Google it as in the good old days... Search engine still doesn't find the important content.
  7. same as @skint: no notification emails although they are enabled but I do not strongly miss them.
  8. Gerne; ist am einfachsten. Schwarz und ein paar andere Farben sind dort auf Lager. Schon wieder alles ver-druckt?
  9. Maybe it's rather a problem of the aluminium block than of the thermocouple? What does fbrc8 say? (You are located in the U.S., aren't you?)
  10. On the forum page filtered by unread posts - as in the old forum...
  11. OK, I rephrase my question: What about a mechanism which allows for marking a single thread as read but without reading it?
  12. What about a mechanism which allows for marking a single entry as read but without reading it?
  13. If you have issues like underextrusion you should exchange the PTFE coupler.
  14. The most important points are already mentioned by @jshanemcknight and @yellowshark. I can only add that if you print two or one with an additional tower of the same height, you should make sure that the air flow of one fan hits the part in question maximally while it is printing the second part / tower.
  15. @Crema: Die letzten Prints sehen sehr gut aus. Hast Du Original Ultimaker Hotends oder den Olsson Block verwendet?
  16. Of course it's up to the print result, but as you already have it unmounted I would replace it as it seems to be not round anymore. How many printing hours did it see? At which temperature?
  17. By setting temperature to 230°C? If you already have you should save the gcode to a file instead of starting the print and then check within the first lines what Cura writes in the M109 or M104 commands.
  18. At which temperature are you printing? There is a large variety in the exact power of the heater. You might suffer from a weak one.
  19. Sometimes it's not the worst to make a step back, especially if you have an abyss in front of you...
  20. If you still have gaps please provide us with layer height, speed and temperature you use. You may be trying to extrude too much.
  21. Why? I don't see much sense for Ultimaker to support printing via USB if they don't get it working reliably. Better to lack a feature than to suffer by it IMHO. But maybe they will bring a Windows driver for RepRap GCODE, I don't know...
  22. A standard driver for Marlin driven machines should be sufficient for Ultimaker Originals. For Ultimaker2 there will hardly be a windows driver as the UM2 officially not supports printing via USB or WiFi.
  23. The more oviously it should find a post or thread the less it does. A good example is the search term "Olsson block" where I would expect the multiple-hundred-posts-thread of Anders Olsson righ on top but which is not even on the first page. I continue searching with Google for the time being.
