Nice. I love modelers that actually think about the printability. Awesome paint job too.
Good evening,
My project is progressing slowly. I modeled via freecad the inside part of the frame. I set up a locking system associated with a principle called Queue D'arronde well known lathes and mills.
Here are some pictures of the installation on the POSL Rover.
The central part of this rack will not lontemps remained empty. I wanted to test the operation and integration. I am satisfied with the result after 14 h print.

@Lennart: looks nice, do have a link where we can find the design?
It's been a long while since I last posted. There are so many creative prints going on all the time here. Been busy day and night at work with no time set aside to print until this weekend.
Most of my prints tend to fall in the utility category because I usually only print what i need, when I need it.
I decided to use flexible material for this one since I needed to attach it to the existing screw hole on my cordless drill. When I'm not working, I'm creating things to make my job easier.
Here's a few pics....

Hi all great prints it's getting really amazing here
I played a bit with my sense scanner and finally made my girlfriend scan me
This is the result:
I also ordered some bronzefill (ordered thursday evening received friday morning what a great service Colorfabb).
This is my second print:
Fresh out of the printer as you can see. It printed really nice, i'll repost pics when i'm finished with post processing it. I love how it feels heavy and not "cheap" as PLA prints

I hope you don't mind Lennart :

I've made several of these lamps, 2 tips: don't make the lamp too small if you're using PLA, it will crack during time;
Use LED lights because of the heat of a normal light.
Some impressions:
Nice. I'll print it at some point.
Are these impressions all made from the same single part?

Most of them are, some of the puzzle pieces are scaled up or down
Thanks for sharing :-)

The BronzeFill T-800 sanded and polished:
Nice. What settings do you use?

Nice. What settings do you use?
Mostly regular PLA settings the only thing that changes is the flow parameter that needs to be increased to 107% (following Colorfabb printing tips).
For the T-800:
Layer height 0.15mm (could be smaller to decrease need for sanding)
Shell thickness: 0.8mm
Speed: 30mm/s could be increased to 50mm/s at least
Temp: 225°c
Bed: 60°C
at low speed I always end up with under extrusion. I had the same issue with woodfill fine. I'll have to try at higher speed.
I'm sure you could clean and polish that better with a dremel or steel wool.
The print looks great! but it doesn't look as shiney/bronzy as some of the others. More polishing required?

Sorry Ian, no lamp found with the given colors
And unfortunately there are not prints but an image from the web, just to show what is possible to make......
they would be wonderful Christmas tree decorations !
Nice leveling screw covers. Is there a direction drawn on it? I always get confused when its time to play with them

Sounds like a nice monthly challenge. The smallest deco lamps for Christmas trees.
@Colorfabb did you get this ?

No unfortunately not, I'm also wrong at first every time
I was toying with the idea of printing the directions on a paper (i know, the audacity!) and sticking it to the bottom of the case. The bed is up when leveling anyway.

They would indeed, with the new colored XT from ColorFabb they won't break as fast as PLA.......

Took me forever to do this. And it is still rougher than I would have liked. 3D concept rendering: Finished piece:

I just finished this. It was a multi-part print for ease of painting. Some of it I am not sure what happened...but hey, it is purty....And, I am unanimous in that ? Test Render Parts

Bath interferometers. I have made about 20 of these for people who use them to test their telescope mirrors. They are amazingly accurate and can do better than a $40,000 Zygo PSI optical tester. Th

Oh no supports, it's in mirror halfs. Just glue them together.
