  1. Hi Kerberg, Could you upload a picture of what the surface looks like? From your description, squeezing out the size of the surface, sounds like that is what it is suppose to do? Thank you!
  2. Could you explain why this helps? My expertise doesn't reach that far
  3. I guess I was wrong today twice :( I don't know if you already contacted us @Peetersm, but the spare part is already online That probably is the fastest route after all..
  4. Hi @Reibuehl, yes it should work! And until today I was under the impression it did work. To be sure, you do get notification (the bell) but just not through email. Right? I have forwarded this bug to our dev team and I we'll work towards a solution asap. Thank you for bringing this up!
  5. whoops, my bad then. I figured you did. @Peetersm, I have already set the wheels in motion to have it added to the webshop. But still, if you don't want to wait for that please get in touch with our sales department to get your hands on an Ultimaker Original+ cartridge heater. Sorry for the inconvenience!
  6. On the Ultimaker Original there aren't many settings stored on the machine itself. You can tune the flowrate on the UltiController. I don't think there is a specific field in the gcode that tells the flowrate. The difference I could think of is that printing over SD is safer, because it won't be interfered by a crashing computer or problems connecting through USB. Could your friend give any examples? The difference of only 3% may also be to subtle to notice anyways.
  7. Have you enabled it so you should receive them?
  8. If it would ever happen again, could you take a picture of what your printhead looks like before you start taking it apart? At the bottom of your nozzle, do you have this small teflon ring sealing of any openings? It is weird that there is filament in the PTFE, but I can see how that could happen. But on the spring? Did it get on the spring when you took everything out and it got extra messy? If your bowden tube is correctly in its place, how strongly is it secured? Is there any movement in it at all or completely still?
  9. sorry to hear that, sounds like a peaceful and memorable goodbye.
  10. Ok, let me see if we can discover something. In the meantime, can you double check if it didn't disappear in a spam folder or something?
  11. Good! Could you keep us updated about your project? These prints got me curious about what it is about. Can you share? I also start to really like the whitish glow on the processed prints. Let us know if you need any further help!
  12. I can imagine the forum looks quite different than what you are used to. If you want a helping hand to get around here you can find some information about what is what.
  13. At what stage in the forum or overview would you like to have this function/mechanism?
  14. I believe filaments can be food safe before they are submitted to the print process. During the print process, if your print profile is not perfect (like to hot) it can carbonise the filament making it not food safe. Then, you also have IRobertsI answer where the surface has a lot of room for nasties.
  15. Hi @UltiSo, Can you double check if you have uploaded the proper firmware? Since you have upgraded your Ultimaker Original, you need the Ultimaker Original firmware, not an Ultimaker Original+ since even though you do have a heated bed. Please install the (right) firmware again. If you do have it and the problem remains, could you swap 2 stepperdrivers on your electronics board? Let me know if after replacing the oddity skipped to a different axis. It would mean the stepperdriver is defective.
  16. Do you still want FDM? I don't think there are any ' "push print and don't bother anymore" unless maybe you want it to perform 1 trick and have 0 options.
  17. Cool! Congratulations Could you select the answer which helped you most as the 'Best Answer'? It will help other new users with a similar problem to find an answer as fast as possible. Here you can read some more about what other features our forum offers.
  18. Do you need to disassemble the hot end? If the nozzle is clogged you could also clean it with an Atomic Method? (the description is about the Ultimaker 2 Extended, but the idea is the same for your Original) Did you remove the screw that is suppose to hold them in place? Is there any metal part left you could try to grab it by with a pair of pliers? Heating and cooling doesn't help?
  19. Does it make the same sounds with a different model? The models it does have the sound, did you make them yourself and what about the models where it doesn't make the sound? What filament do you use?
  20. Currently it is not possible to track individual read posts. The tracking is done by thread. If you have opened it, it assumes you read it. Whether or not you actually have scrolled down to the last posts (assuming you start at first page and didn't click X unread). @Titus, a) yes. b) yes. and 'c') no
  21. Well, I do receive them. Lol Sander, one of the other programmers is probably moving yours manually so you think it is OK how are your notifications getting along?
