  1. Hi @The_Schire, here is another topic covering the same. Have a look at it and let me know if you have any further questions!
  2. Actually looks pretty impressive, it has a lot more functions than the typical print / scan and milling machine. I do agree with @didierklein that it increase the risk of failing. It has proven not to be easy to make just a 3D printer, or at least create a design that not only 1 can be build, but thousands. And I am sure that also goes for a milling machine, SLA and pick and place. Let alone a machine that can do it all.. But I am curious to see what will come from it. Did you back it @Printerfan?
  3. Hi, you noticed it correctly. It started yesterday in the afternoon. Our dev's will fix it today hopefully. Thank you for mentioning.
  4. We compiled a list of where the bugs occur and the dev's will look into it. During the day it will hopefully be fixed, thank you guys. I'll keep you updated.
  5. you cursed me, now I have it too!
  6. What browser do you use? Will it crash or endlessly load? Does it still respond to other commands, like entering a new topic?
  7. There were a few troubles this afternoon but they were very quickly resolved. Are you still experiencing it at this moment? Perhaps delete your cache if it is persistent?
  8. Have you made any modifications to your Ultimaker 2 Extended or is it still a stock Ultimaker? When heating takes to long, for example when the heath is being guided through the fan bracket, it can also trigger a temp error.
  9. Is that a water tower or a cup of coffee on the side? Town looks really cool! Are you excited to finally put everything in its place after months of work? @Anders-Olsson, looks very smooth! How long did it take? Is it a teaser for one of your next inventions?
  10. Have you seen this thread? Looks like a great printing corner. Enjoy!
  11. I hope you did not take a high pricepoint as criteria to label it professional? I don't know a lot about the xeed, but in my days I have come across some leapfrog users, and most were ex users. Have you seen the machine at work yourself, or used it or was your decision based on specs, pictures and information? Make sure to let us know about your experience is like! Would be interesting to know if anything changed and how it relates to your Ultimaker 2. Enjoy!
  12. The title was not always included in the search, we discovered it a little while ago by a post from @Nicolinux. The dev's should have a solution and I think it will be implemented in approx. 2 weeks. Thank you for notifying us anyway!
  13. And make sure to upload it in the print section When this thread is a few pages further the most amazing prints get lost. Which is an absolute shame. On the Print section you always keep the overview over the uploads and see what everyone is making.
  14. WOW. that looks beautiful! Both in painting and detail. How big is it? And what is it for? Amazing job!
  15. haha even if you used a different user name, I would have still recognized this classic 'Ian-post'. What kind of prototypes are you making? anything you can share? Good to hear you are happy with your Ultimaker
  16. Have you tried cleaning the nozzle already, with an Atomic Method?
  17. Hi Jeff, An STL has yet to be processed / sliced, and by tweaking different settings you can influence the time and material it uses. A gcode is basically a list of commands, a result of a sliced 3D model. It has all the settings in it, some you can still influence with commands but it is pretty much all set in stone. A g-code doesn't replace an STL, so if you have created a g-code, there is nothing stopping you from scaling it up and create another new g-code. If you are just curious about the print time, you can open a gcode in a text editor and in the first few lines it should tell you how long the print approximately takes. Good luck!
  18. Hi @Ksheho, The kit is only for the Ultimaker Original. Do you already have one? The assembly itself is pretty good, levelling the nozzles requires some fiddling and we have labeled the entire upgrade kit as experimental because overall it is trickier to use than single extrusion. So your expectation should be different than single extrusion. is a video I found which I think should give you a good impression. Most prints will probably require some clean up.
  19. I replied to your other post. I think you printed an Ultimaker 2 file on your Ultimaker Original. It has a different Z motor so the print becomes taller. In Cura you can choose for what machine you slice, so make sure to select the machine you operate (Ultimaker Original I believe?). Good luck!
  20. I used google translate to read your post, hopefully you can translate mine as well. This happens when you print an Ultimaker Original file (robot) on the Ultimaker 2, or the other way around. In Cura you can choose for what printer you slice so perhaps a mistake was made. Good luck!
  21. Good question! So far testing regimes and stability. What would you make with an ability to print 600 mm high?? Even a better question! I think a lot of user cases should present themselves which will be useful. Do you have anything you need for the fablab? Since I am currently not looking to make a 600mm print I am inclined to think in the area of art or design. Or you could print a full size human skeleton, have organs in different colours for educational purposes? The biggest bone in the human body should be round 50cm. .. just thinking out loud
  22. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully I have time to go there Friday after work or on the weekend. The VAR concept is nice, it is not just about making new things, also about extending life expectancies. Do you know where BBF was stationed?
