  1. Only if you would print 3 times as big. But in theory, if it would be extended in an axis, you would be able to achieve higher speeds on that axis, so in ratio it would probably be faster?
  2. Hi @phi90, thank you for your post. Did the head fall off during the print? Not sure if perspective is playing tricks on me, but perhaps (part of) these strings actually belong on the head. But since it broke already, it had no where to deposit it, and it just stayed there until the travel move attached it to a new surface. Could that make sense? It's unfortunate that PVA got blocked. Was it an older reel, or perhaps too humid?
  3. Don't worry! We made sure to use the best LEDs we could find. It will be light.
  4. Hi @fofa , thank you for your post and welcome to the community! You may want to enable retraction, that should definitely help improve your print quality.
  5. Hi everyone, and @Swissengineer since you asked specifically, In case you haven't heard yet; the next AMA will be May 16th! I've been able to get Steve Harris (SVP Supply Chain & Manufacturing at Ultimaker) AND Erin Oliver / @fbrc8-erin (Operations director FBRC8) from the US ready for the next AMA. Both Steve and Erin know everything about quality control and the assembly of Ultimaker 3D printers! So, do you have any questions regarding quality control? Do you want to know if there any differences between Europe and the US? What type of special tools are required for assembling an Ultimaker or how do we prepare for a launch? It promises to be an interesting AMA! See you on May 16th, 5pm CEST!

  8. April 24th you'll be able to see it from a facebook live feed straight from Rapid Event in Texas. The day before the Hannover Messe starts in .. Hannover
  9. Hi @sutter, thank you for your post and welcome to the forums! What filament are you using? And what print core? Have you used other materials in that print core as well? The bottom also doesn't look great. Do you use default Cura profiles?
  10. Hi @Tibi, welcome to the community! Do you also have a photo from the other side? Did the prints already get loose from the build plate or did somewhere halfway the print broke? Given some prints are fine, I reckon they got loose from the bed. In that case, I would indeed recommend to level the bed, and clean the glass plate. Do you use any adhesives like glue? At what speed is your first layer? You might find some tips to help you in this post
  11. I would if I could. I know Erik wants to take this up and it's also up to him to give actions on these intentions. If you want to know more, I would recommend sending an email to hello@youmagine.com asking for some prospects or updates. I don't know much more right now than that the 'ball is in his court', so to speak. Last thing I heard, he was working on a blog update on youmagine with more news and updates. When I do know more, I'll certainly let everyone know via this thread.
  12. But then.. why would you push the button if the print is already finished? And if you are not gonna press the button.. will the print ever start even?
  13. Hi @cjs , is the blob also stuck or are you just pointing out the too long retraction?
  14. @Daid , we talked about this! We wouldn't tell we were going into the subtractive business!
  15. Sounds like good reasons (not sure if #6 will have a noticeable impact, but still).
  16. Hi @matc94, thank you for your post. 70ºC sounds pretty hot for PLA. For starters I would recommend to lower it to 60ºC. Do you use glue or any other form of extra adhesive? The bottom looks indeed rough. Was this printed with a raft? That could explain such a surface. What does it look like when you print directly on the glass?
  17. Hi MCQ-UK, thank you for your post and sharing your experience. I'm sorry to hear the Ultimaker did not meet your expectations. Sounds like the reseller offered you good service, replacing two machines in a week. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy the Formlabs and it will give you what you need. Good luck!
  18. Hi @rvmifi , I would recommend not to share any personal information publically. Please reach out to the seller via a DM for more details, thanks!
  19. We don't (we don't do direct sales anymore) but if you want, you might want to check if your reseller offers something like that
  20. No problem! I guess this is where we realize we've only launched a teaser.. these answers will require some more patience. Sorry
  21. You might! I can't tell you when it will be released, but if you look at our previous teasers, it was never very far from the actual release. I'm sure if you talk to your reseller you can come to an agreement (like put it on hold until the release and then decide).
  22. I dunno, some kind of hot plate seems more likely..
