  4. You could get this to work, but you would need a much smaller nozzle. But this would increase the printing time a lot.
  5. We're close. Very close. I expect (and note the expect, this is not a date set in stone) it to be released in +- 2 weeks.
  6. The point is mostly that we have a brand new shiny version of Cura that does things differently. We see the issue with wanting to modify / make plugins for Cura, so we redid pretty much everything and made sure that this would be possible. So with the old Cura you could pretty much change only the g-code, with the new one you can change a lot more (view modes, tools, input / output devices, etc)
  7. I don't know if there are any updates, I don't do the organisation.
  8. 403 error should not have anything to do with platform. Its a server issue.
  9. Yeah, but it might be enough to count as prior. The helix shape has already been done by another printer company. Can't remember the name. But they are probably infringing on the autodesk patent, as it has a priority date of october 2013
  10. I believe that buil3r has a system like this, but only with two colors.
  11. They also use the CuraEngine for slicing.
  12. I do know you get a lot more flickering if you use the arduino toolchain to build the firmware. Has something to do with the weird shit that it inserts into the building, but as far as I know, daid makes the firmware and he doesn't use that toolchain. Could any of you try to downgrade and check if the problem persists? If not, let me know, so we can fix it.
  13. 230 isnt a default in any software / firmware that we make. Cura uses 220, but we changed that to 210 for the new Cura. The brown gunk is indeed degraded fillament.
  14. I believe it should be possible to put a um2 head on a umo.
  15. Fully trust Cura will become fantastic and configurable with all the bells and whistles need ... but for the coming 6 months or so I'm very happy with this s3d upgrade Yeah you should
  16. The slicer engine does have it configurable. New version should have it in a while.
  17. Not confidently enough to guarantee it wont blow up. Have you checked the (electronic) schematics?
  18. Funny that they have oozeshield now. Cura has had that for a while now.
  19. Ask the designers of the Structur3D Discov3ry Paste Extruders? I've never heard of them before, so I cant help you with it.
  20. There will be dual extrusion support. Don't worry. But sometimes you have to start over again in order you can build something even grander, even though it will take more time to get to the original level of functionality.
  21. I dont know what causes it, but the distance between the steps is a very nice sine curve.
  22. Don't worry. Anyone would have to pry those whistles and bells from our cold dead hands We try to make software that we want to use and the people who make Cura are the 'seriously geeky' people.
  23. It could still be micropstepping as the distance from step 1-2 is not the same as the distance from 6-7 (when using 16x microstepping)
  24. Het helpt als je iets meer informatie geeft. Zoek je een grafisch ontwerper? Een industrieel ontwerper? Een gebruikers ervaring ontwerper? Software ontwerper?
