  1. I think a fair bit of coding is required to get it to work. The interface between engine & frontend has been significantly altered.
  2. I don't care if you're the head bartender at the local pub...I'd like to have that infill option Pull requests are always welcome!
  3. I haven't actually printed with PP yet. So I cant say much how well it behaves.
  4. PP is pretty much the only plastic by which you can make "living hinges". See https://www.creativemechanisms.com/blog/everything-you-need-to-know-about-living-hinges
  5. It should also cache them, so the second startup should be significantly faster. Deleting the materials will have a pretty big impact on the speedup as well.
  6. Issues like what? If you don't report them, we can't fix them. Or it's a sign that the new materials needed to be bundled on the right date The 2.6.1 release is not because there were blocking issues. Upload it to dropbox or any other model sharing service.
  7. Is it? I've yet so see anyone actually measure the difference. I think it's going to be quite a bit slower to print, so even though it could be strong, it won't be as strong compared to a print with a different infill in the same time.
  8. Sorry about that, it's an issue that slipped through. This will be fixed for 2.6.1 (should be released in about a week)
  9. The more clear a feature request is, the easier it is for us to pick it up. This is also why almost all pull requests are accepted; compared to a request they cost little time versus the amount of work that we get out of it. If something is only / mostly usefull for non-ultimaker machines it will automatically get a lower priority for us. So if you want something try to think of the following things; - Is the thing I'm asking (feature) or problem i'm noticing clear enough. - Why would anyone want the feature - Are there any risks? - Are there alternatives? - How would this new feature look? Not all of these need to be filled of course, but the more work you do, the easier it is for us to "defend" putting time in it. Your time & work is also valuable to us.
  10. That might actually be worth looking into. Thanks for sharing that.
  11. The auto arrange is far from perfect. It tries to fit the largest objects in the middle first and then fit the smaller models in the other areas. If you try to print some configuration of objects where the best fit is not to put the first object in the center, it won't ever consider that as an option. The arrange algorithm that we now have is much better than what we did before, but it's far from perfect. We could improve on it, but as always, it's a resources issue (way to much to do, way to little people to do it with)
  12. Perhaps your virus scanner is getting in the way? Some scanners seem to think that Cura is a trojan, so it could be blocking it.
  13. Not clean nozzle, electronical signal interference, etc. Manual leveling doesn't use the sensor at all, so it makes sense that that does work.
  14. You can't easily remove all the pre-defined profiles. If you really want to, you will have to remove the files that we provided (inside the resources folder).
  15. Cura 2.6 has an auto arrange that tries to position all models inside the build plate. If it cant find a suitable spot, it puts them outside of the build plate.
  16. The shadow is not actually the place where the object intersects with the build plate. Its a bit above the build plate.
  17. Oh wow! You found that beauty! I don't think we can do jokes like that anymore. We were also forced to remove the kittens from the crash screen :( I still miss them (Because lets face it, if Cura has to crash, it's better if you at least get a kitten!)
  18. The layer thickness (in the z direction) will still be the same. You can do a bit of trickery with the infill, but you won't be able to print with 0.06 layer height with extruder 1 and 0.1 layer height with extruder 2.
  19. A mistake on our end! This will be fixed for 2.6.1 Sorry for the inconvenience.
  20. We will try to think about this for the next release (it's as simple as changing a build parameter).
  21. Do you have some logs? It could also be that the profile is imported, just not visible for your machine.
  22. Could you also post your (cura) log files somewhere?
  23. I can't fix anything on the website. I did forget to update the version number (again), but you guys reminded me
  24. Should be up now! Everyone should also get update notifications in Cura as well.
