  1. The top/bottom thickness sould be disabled if you see both of it's children. This should give you the hint that 1.2mm will be used for top and 0.9 for the bottom.
  2. I'm not saying that you should. I'm saying that the effect is going to be pretty much the same. I would advise to simply change the nozze size.
  3. Nozzle size (aka nozzle diameter) is not actually used by any setting save the line_width. The line width has a function that uses the nozzle diameter to calculate the line width. So if the nozzle diameter is changed, the line width will change accordingly. If you do override it for some reason, an inheritance warning icon will pop up to notify you of such a change. Also note that for the UM2+, your profiles are stored per combination. If you create a profile, you create a profile for that nozzle. So if you switch the nozzle size in the dropdown, so will the profile.
  4. Because it wasn't supposed to be enabled in the first place. At the point of release there were quite a few bugs in it (which you have been able to dodge so it seems). I think we fixed the latest material bugs last week.
  5. If you want this done without all the weird ass manual steps, I don't think you can do this with a post processing plugin. I've sent this topic to some other engineers at UM so they can have a look at it as well.
  6. This build won't get new features. Future release will, but a better usb printing interface won't be built by us. I've tried to get in contact with PrinterBot if they wanted to help adding features for their machines in Cura, but they declined. Aleph objects (lulzbot) is working on improving the USB printing, but they obviously will focus on their machines, so this is no guarantee that it will work for printrbot. If anyone feels like improving this, i'm willing to give them pointers / answer questions on where to start.
  7. Most of the credit goes to Christoph. I just made sure it worked with Cura. It only took me about ~2 ish hours to build.
  8. I've finally found some time to make a quick wrapper for the excellent algorithm created by Christoph Schranz. It calculates the optimal orientation based on overhangs of the object. Note that it's a quick & dirty implementation on my end, but it should do the trick. You can find it on; https://github.com/nallath/CuraOrientationPlugin It's supposed to work with Cura 2.3
  9. Hi, Can this plug in workable on Cura 15.04.6? Nope.
  10. Cura 2.3 beta has an easy plugin to do that. Otherwise we have a guide for 2.1 which can be found here
  11. We haven't ported this functionality to cura 2.x yet. It is possible if you save it to 3mf, as that actually supports multiple objects in a single file.
  12. Yep. You need to create a .def.json file that describes that machine. See https://ultimaker.com/en/resources/20511-change-machine-settings Note that the format did change slighly since 2.1, but it should be easy to figure this out (we don't have a guide for 2.3 yet).
  13. It uses what it sees as the center of the head, which could be the center of the nozzle. In most cases it makes sense to put the origin on the primary (or only) nozzle.
  14. Uh. Actually no. You could delete the profiles that it converted though. We actually just went into string freeze, so we can't add a message that lets you decide if you want to upgrade or not.
  15. Custom machine + dual extrusion wont happen for this version. Sorry. As far as I can see now, the next version that we will release will be the full release.
  16. Glad you like it The best thing is that it's not even done yet. We already have a large batch of fixes done since the Beta.
  17. It's not on our to-do list. So probably not.
  18. We don't support it at the moment. It might be a good idea to do so though.
