  1. Thanks for that link. I see they have free shipping to the Netherlands, will order here next time as the shipping extrudr is using (post.at) is crap, last order took over 2 weeks...
  2. @RudydG can you share you latest S3D profile, I like to give it try...
  3. Decided to Order Ngen to print my Mark 2 head ??? PLA tec has a higher temperature tolerance... I would personally not use Ngen for this.
  4. Thanks, will source that! Is it possible to get the coupling parts in separate stl files? Many thanks! About the files, all files are also in .stp format in the github folder. You can easily modify, or save separate STL's from them using free software like fusion360 or Design spark mechanical. read here how to unlock steps for editing in DSM; https://ultimaker.com/en/community/3772-spaceclaim?page=2#reply-54816 Check the scale after importing the .stp I noticed in spaceclaim I have to scale them down a factor 10.
  5. congratulations @pixl2 !!! enjoy installing you're new tool !!

  7. I'm pretty sure I can wait at least a day before starting such a tedious task
  8. You don't have to think about non-double prints basically, just use your normal Ultimaker2 profile for that.
  9. @ahoeben , thanks! @MarcoUbtz , In the meantime as a workaround you can just setup a profile the way you like, and save it as a project. Just do it without a model loaded. Open your settings by loading the project file. Always use "open project" when you use "open file" the settings will not load.
  10. @ahoeben (or anyone with a good understanding of Cura) can I ask you a favor and help us review the cura resource files for the Mark2? You'll find them here: https://github.com/foehnsturm/Mark2/tree/master/cura-resources I've seen a few issues; Creating a custom profile, after changing some settings in a default profile, will let you save it, but you can not use it again, when selecting it you see a dot before both the "default profile" and the "custom profile" but you never get the custom settings. I've also seen the odd behaviour that all default profiles have a 0.1 layer height (fast/normal/high) when selecting a different profile some values change, but the layer height always stays 0.1 also tried the mark2 files in cura2.6, that was even worse, crashes all the time, suspect the recourse files contain errors.... Can you create a setup where the default profiles are available (from UM2plus) but you only see the custom profiles belonging to the selected printer?
  11. I've just tried with 2 different custom machines in beta 2.6 (just out today) and now cura will just crash. There's other stuff wrong as well. when I installed Beta 2.6 the Mark2 machine was not copied. after I manually copied all recourse files, I could add Mark2 again. And then some old custom profiles from 2.5 became visible again...... but as protected profiles.... Think we need to report this in the cura beta thread... and at the same time see if we can find errors in the custom recourse files....
  12. Here's how to adjust the start sequence; If you want to have an easy readable view on it, look into the machine setting in Cura; The red marked area is probably where you want to make a change, set the X positions a bit lower. But you better do it directly in the json file, there are (not sure, maybe solved already) issues with settings not stored when changed from machine settings, To do it directly in the .json file, it looks like this, same code;
  13. Actually some sellers have the assembled feeder but price you just as well get a Bondtech.
  14. have not used S3D for dual for a long time, but as a starter I would try; use the Mark2 firmware as much as possible, so XY offset, Z offset etc, leave it to the firmware. Same for the pick and place of the head, leave it to the firmware. So I think all you need to do is setup two processes in S3D, on for T0 and one for T1, with correct temperature etc fort the head. (and T2 I guess for the bed) Set all dual stuff from S3D to zero > like the xyz offset and nozzle change retraction Take the start& end g-codes from the Mark2 json file, split them to the appropriate S3D processes per nozzle. I'll probably give it a try myself, but that may take a while... please share the processes when you succeed....
  15. I just had the exact same thing, did not take anything apart, just held the vacuum cleaner on the SD card slot of the printer for a while and it solved it..
  16. It shgould not be to hard to use S3D with the mark2, while you normally would do the T0 and T1 code for the head pick/place probaly in S3D, I think you should try to leave as much as possible to the Mark2 firmware. The main avantage of using Cura is the temperature control around the tool change, with S3D you don't have this, so the print time wil go up. On the other hand looking at some of the strange behaviour of cura, strange pathplanning and retraction behaviour I can imaging you want to keep using S3D, just at least try and setup both.... As a start I think you can just use dual S3D, but leave out the XYZ offsets, as the firmware will handle it...
  17. assuming you are printing with standard nozzle sizes PLA at 230 is normally way too hot. Though fiction in the bowden can be a thing to check when haviong underextrusion, the most common factor is the TFM couler (formerly known as the teflon part) the white plastic thing in the head. Check and possibly replace that first. Do you still have the old (black) Ultimaker 2 feeder? if so I would replace it for something better, the Ultimaker 2+ feeder is nice but mostly overpriced and/or difficult to source, so getting a bondtech is probably best. http://shop.bondtech.se/ec/upgrade-kits/ultimaker/ultimaker-2-qr-extruder-upgrade-kit.html
  18. Very nice, curious to see some prints... just for everyone's info, you never have to change wire's for the stepper rotation direction, you can set the direction in the Mark2 firmware thanks to @tinkergnome's great work. Directly from the printers menu so anyone can do it.
  19. do as foehnsturm advises I also checked the setting of the prime positions in Cura, I trested this before on the UM3 and it worked, but somehow I can't get ti to work on the Mark2, maybe @tinkergnome knows why? I set: but it does not show in the menu's, although in the selection list it's now available for this machine.
  20. First the obvious, you did install the Mark2 version of the firmware? You did not start with the 2th already mounted? Although I think there should be a failsafe for this just be sure to have the 2th head docked at start.
  21. I like Nylon, the Ultimaker nylon prints pretty easy, It also bonds well with PVA. I also tried a sample of the 1030 and found it pretty difficult, even though i had a sealed sample i had serious moisture issues. looking at the specs the 1070 is interesting enough to give a try someday. for everyone's information, here's datasheets; http://wiki.makerpoint.nl/nexeodatasheets and I use this for both PVA and nylon; https://www.youmagine.com/designs/drybox-for-pva-ultimaker3
  22. I would just order a replacement fan from the closest Ultimaker reseller, if you do this it also has the correct connector. The ultimaker partnumber is 1313. When you do source elsewhere you also must make sure the fan supports PWM. Model Cooling Fan 12VDC 0.1 A 30x30x10 connector JST XHP-2
  23. With the Ultimaker2 you don't need to worry there at all. There's plenty of 3th party alternatives for the consumables (3dsolex.com for example) and looking at the large installbase of the machine i don't see this become an issue ever....
