  1. Is the file really a gcode file or does it just have a visible extension with .gcode? Have a look in the Finder when you go to the file and then press Command I what the file type is. MacOS does not always show all file extensions and if the file eg. xyz.gcode.txt means then Cura would refuse to load the file.
  2. Here is a discussion about this or a similar issue: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/8321
  3. For me it is really annoying. I was aware that I have to handle two sizes but I thought ok, should be no problem. But then I wanted to print something in a specific color and found out that I only have this color in the other size. And this happened not only once. But to buy every filament in both sizes also makes no sense for me. On the other hand, if you have dedicated use cases for the printers, then it should be no problem.
  4. Yeah, it can happen easily and you want to load and think, hey come on, grab the filament, and so on.... 🙂
  5. As far as I know, currently not. The mobile app only notifies you about the start and the end of a print job, but not about an error. Ultimaker is aware about that, so I am sure they work on a solution.
  7. Which is probably the easier solution because you don't have to do something extra. So when you are signed in it should happen automatically.
  8. Maybe one more thing you should consider - the E2 uses 1.75mm filament. I have one printer which uses also 1.75 filament and it is terrible to have both filament sizes on stock, I really hate it and I probably will sell the 1.75 printer again for that reason. So if you use a lot of different materials you should really think about it.
  10. Have you already tried to replace the "faulty" print core with another one? Just to see if it is the feeder or the hot end.
  11. It seems there went something wrong, please contact your reseller, it is brand new machine, so don't tinker yourself.
  12. Ahh yes I can remember. Maybe I have time the next days to print again the Iris box on the S5. There should be no big difference between the UM3 and S5, but now I am curious why it doesn't works for you.
  13. Looks good and now change it to Marlin instead of Ultimaker 2, just click on the drop down.
  14. There is no step by step instruction but try to heat the print core to soften the material, additionally use carefully a heat gun and try piece by piece to get the head clean again. In most cases it works. If not bring the printer to your reseller or in worst case buy a new print head. To prevent it in the future it is very important that you check from time to time the silicone cover at the bottom of the head. If you see there some burnt spots, replace the cover.
  18. I printed the Iris box on the UM3 I think and it worked. Most tolerance issues are slicer or settings issues, but I can't remember which Cura version I used for the box.
  19. Try to login here https://marketplace.ultimaker.com/app/cura/materials And remove the extensions you no longer want to use. This should work.
  20. You post this in a 2 years old thread, but yes that's the way to go. A food dryer is perfect for it and cheap. When you look at the dryer of the company PrintDry you see the same food dryer as sold much cheaper on Amazon.
  21. I don't think this is possible, but please upload some pictures.
