Ultimaker 3 Extended Restarted Mid-Print

When it happens again, then I guess you need to replace the power supply, but let's see, maybe it was just once. -
PolyMax PLA haftet extrem stark auf Glasplatten
Smithy replied to ULTIMAKER2EXTEND's topic in Deutsch

Ultimaker 3 Extended Restarted Mid-Print
Smithy replied to UA_UM3E's topic in Improve your 3D prints
Hi no there is no timeout, you can print as long as you want. Maybe your power supply has a problem or you just got a power outage which caused the reboot. -

Why do you need the BlueTape when you have a heated bed?

PolyMax PLA haftet extrem stark auf Glasplatten
Smithy replied to ULTIMAKER2EXTEND's topic in Deutsch
UMO+ Advise on improving printing quality

200° is basically ok, but give it a try with 190°, if you see under extrusion it was too cold. -
Looking to purchase Ultimaker 3 Extended, have questions
Smithy replied to GRIFFCOMMca's topic in UltiMaker 3D printers
Hi I cannot say how much weight the plate can handle, but 0.5kg should be more than save, even if you print 2 at the same time. The UM3 has no filament sensor, only the S5 has it. So if filament runs out on the UM3 the printer continues the print job without extruding. You can only add a manual pause at a certain height, to switch the spool. -
UMO+ Advise on improving printing quality
Smithy replied to DanielKabel's topic in Improve your 3D prints
I would say it is not so bad, some minor issues but overall a good print. Try to print a little bit cooler and slower. Not sure, but when looking at the surface I would say you print too hot. Then I see some ringing, which should be better when printing slower. -

Why not use the browser for the Cura UI instead of the PyQt nightmare?
Smithy replied to burtoogle's topic in UltiMaker Cura
And even one step further and slice completely in the cloud from everywhere. Interesting approach, but I fear this progress will never come. -

Wow, looks really great!

Unfortunately yes, but you can rename or move the folder to another location, just for testing if this would solve the problem.

Layer view does not seem to work CURA 4.1
Smithy replied to Niels_Amstel_Engineering's topic in UltiMaker Cura
Does it work when you move the vertical and horizontal sliders manually with the mouse? -
You can try to remove the configuration folder and start from scratch. Cura 4.1 is running fine for me on Mac OSX Mojave.

Sketchup/TinkerCAD - 2020 frame mount hole for box
Smithy replied to blkprometheus's topic in UltiMaker Cura
You should definitely go in that direction. On the first sight and when you are new to CAD you think omg this Fusion360 is nothing for me, too complicated. But it isn't - you have to learn a few basics (check out Youtube, there are very good tutorials) and then you will see, that most things are much easier and faster than in Thinkercad. -

You will see such issues on nearly every printer. I have no problems printing with a higher layer height, but you have to adjust speeds and turn off jerks/acceleration. You have to find a good setup which fits YOUR needs, because turn off jerk will produce ringing after the corner. And a higher default speed is not a fault, ok could be more optimized, but for non technical prints or prints where dimensional accuracy is not needed, it doesn't matter if the corner bulges out a little bit. Your direct contact should be your reseller, because all support and customer service is handled by the resellers.
