  1. You cannot modify the generic profile that come with Cura, but just click on Duplicate and then you should be able to change the temperature.
  2. I can remember there was something in the past, but not sure 100% Are you on the latest firmware? If not please update and try it again.
  3. The print temperature is in the material profile, so take a look there and change the temp you need for the material you use.
  4. The version from Smartavionics has everything as the UM version, and a few additional features and fixes. As far as I know Smartavionics contributes everything to the UM Cura, but sometimes his fixes or features will not be merged to the UM Cura for whatever reason.
  5. Thanks for the feedback and that explains why I never have seen the issue, because I mostly use Smartavionics Cura.
  6. Hi for Cura you need a PC or notebook with Windows, MacOS or Linux. A Samsung tablet will not work. I also don't know another slicer software which runs on a tablet.
  11. Check the "initial printing temperature" which is the temperature, where printing can already start.
  12. Please post pictures, the STL or even the project file, without that it is hard to follow what you mean.
  13. Can you elaborate it a bit more, I am doing hard to understand what is exactly your problem.
  14. Thanks, I will post my experience there too.
  15. I think reverting to the previous version should work. Just download the firmware from the UM website, copy it to a USB stick and do the downgrade from the stick. Not 100% if it really works or if there is a check which prevents you from downgrading, but I think it should work.
  16. So, I have seen now the same problem on my iMac. I sliced something on Friday and didn't closed Cura. Today I tried to select the object and got exactly the same problem. When I select the object in the object list in the left bottom and then click on the object, it gets deselected. After a Cura restart everything is fine now again. So I can reproduce it, but I guess it is hard to find the root cause for it when the failure is not permanent.
  17. Yes, try these settings: Line Width: 0.4 (all line widths 0.4) Wall Thickness: 1.2 Wall Line Count: 3 Top/Bottom Thickness: 1.2 Print Speed: 30 Infill Speed: 30 Wall Speed: 30 Outer Wall Speed: 30 Inner Wall Speed: 30 Top/Bottom Speed: 30 Print Jerk: 30 Infill Jerk: 30 Wall Jerk: 30 Outer Wall Jerk: 30 Inner Wall Jerk: 30 Top/Bottom Jerk: 30 Horizontal Expansion: -0.03 These settings can also help: Outer Before Inner Walls = checked Combing Mode = off Slicing Tolerance = Exclude
  18. It mostly depends on the material, speed, print temperature and so on.... So print as cool as possible and not faster than 35mm/sec. It also helps to equalize all the speeds to the same value. Search the forum here for dimensional accuracy and you will find some posts with the relevant settings.
  19. Yes that is also an indicator that you have something activated.
  20. Ok, I will try and play tomorrow with it, maybe I can reproduce it also on my side.
  21. Printing with an S5 and S3D is more than a workaround in my opinion, a complicated workflow and you loose a lot of features, like the Air Manager for example. I gave it up, too much work. But when you have a use case like now, then give it a try to get out the order of your client in a better quality. Beside that and because you have tested a lot, it would be really great when you could open a bug report on Github for that. The link is in Cura in the help menu. Thanks!
  22. Just an idea with the 3DConnexion mouse. I don't think it is the reason, I have also one, but the 3DConnexion driver is still beta for Big Sur and I am not sure how deep the driver is integrated into the system. How long does it take until it happens? Just to know how long I have to play with it 🙂
  23. No Cura is fine, you have a horizontal and vertical slider, so when you scroll down on the vertical one, you start from the first layer. I guess your Z direction on the printer has a problem, maybe check the connections or if everything else is fine. Maybe your printer can move the head via the menu, then you can check if it is working. Before you start to slice and print something from Cura, you should be able to print the file that came with the printer, then we can be sure the hardware is ok.
  24. Have you already successful printed something on your printer? Do you have a presliced gcode file on the sd card which came with the printer? So you could try this file, just to see if it Cura and your settings or if you have a failure in your printer.
