  1. No problem, let me know if it works! Here is the feedback thread for Cura 3.3 Beta. It has some more explanation re the support blocker, and you may want to leave your feedback too after using it.
  2. Hi @Alex L, Welcome to the Ultimaker community! You could try to reduce the horizontal expansion for support, it will make the support protrude less from your model. By default it is set at 3mm I think. Here is an example to show what I mean: If you want to exclude some areas from getting support entirely, you could give the support blocker a chance. It is in our latest Ultimaker Cura Beta and it is fairly new so keep this in mind. It allows you to place blocks into your model, and the areas covered by this block don't get any support. By default the block is fairly big. If you want to make it smaller you should place 1 block on your model using the support blocker tool, select the scale tool and reduce the size. Using Move you can also move it around in all 3 dimensions. When your satisfied where it is placed, you can decide to add another block etc. Support blocker tool, Scale tool and Move tool can all be found on the left of your viewer. Highlighted below: Hope this helps! By the way, you're printing an architectural model. Perhaps you find this Architecture category interesting to follow too. User @Stefania Dinea posts guides frequently, perhaps they're also useful for you, or your 2 cents could help someone else. If you want, you can follow it using the top right button.
  3. I wanted to add the pliers, must have slipped through. Thanks, good tip!
  4. Hi @mezger, welcome to the Ultimaker community! How do you mean the top was broken, were there cracks in the black housing? If so, you (or another user), may have been tightening those thumbscrews too tight. Perhaps something to keep in mind for future use. Regarding this filament, it is not normal. Do you have the Olsson block installed, or another third party heaterblock which allows you to swap nozzles easily? When that is the case, at one occasion the nozzle may not have been fully inserted and this is the result of a leak. It can be that the leak is now sealed, and this is 'old', or the leak can still be there. By removing the other screws on your fan bracket, you can remove the metal part and easily access the blob. By heating up your heaterblock to approximately 150ºC you should be able to pull off pieces of plastic with some pliers after a few minutes. The heat will make it soft again. Do watch out with removing PLA from the wires. Especially the PT100 is the most sensitive one of the two, so don't use any force when removing any PLA surrounding that wire. (the small one). You can also decide to use external heat like a blowdryer. When you are done, it is possible the heaterblock may not look as new anymore but it should be functional. Good luck!
  5. If you're interested, @Stefania Dinea just shared another guide about Massing Tip: If you click 'Follow' at the Architecture page in the top right corner, you are automatically being notified when a new guide is shared.
  6. Hi everyone! First of all, thanks to everyone who feels a level of responsibility to alert the YouMagine team when spam emerges on the platform. I know as a community manager that such commitment and help from its userbase is really helpful and appreciated. During Easter someone felt it necessary to upload files to print your own firearms, and this is not something the YouMagine team supports to share, so thanks again for putting this on the radar. But even though Ultimaker hosts this 'Youmagine-spam' thread, Youmagine and Ultimaker are - and should be considered as - 2 different entities. Feel free to share your reports here, after all we are an open forum, but don't expect Ultimaker to act upon it. If you want to be sure your report falls in the right hands; send an email with your findings to hello@youmagine.com and they will take it from there. More updates about where YouMagine is headed will be shared on their blog in the near future. Thanks!
  7. When we're making a stable version out of this beta version we're planning on making another explanatory video about some of the great new features and how they work. Last time we explained a lot of features but did not catch all the features people were most curious about. So I want to ask you; after having read the release notes and/or trying beta 3.3; - which feature would you like to see explained in the next video? After reading this thread, my initial input would be: - new bridging settings - support blocker What else? Note: A nominee is no guarantee. We can not include everything, but we'll do our best to make it as conclusive as possible. Edit: If you haven't seen the previous explanatory video; check my first post in the previous Stable introduction for reference.
  8. Looks like it is only available for Windows, isn't it?
  9. Changed to unlimited! Like away my friend!
  10. Hello there, We are sending out Ultimaker Community Newsletters once a month with some highlights of what is discussed in the past month. I usually try to include something new, something which was ranked as popular (in our leaderboard), and something which I think you would find interesting. I'm opening this thread because I am curious to hear from you what you think about it. What do you think of the content? Do you indeed find it interesting to read, or would you rather read about something else? With your feedback, we can make it even better and before you know it you are counting the days before the next newsletter Looking forward hearing from you! (also, if you're not receiving them you can enable 'receive news and information' in your notification settings)
  11. Hi @rhaven, thank you for your post and welcome to the forums! How is the Mark 2 upgrade working for you? For your information, I have edited your post to 'activate' the mentions of @tinkergnome and @foehnsturm . When you write @[username] you have to click the name from the dropdown list to enable the link to the user database. This is the difference between creating a mention and just writing something with @... Just so you know Regarding the filament spool holder, what are your requirements?
  12. Conrad should be able to provide the instructions for you, or you could try contacting iGo3D as they are our sales partner in your region. Getting the instructions from them means they agree with your repair and there are no unwanted surprises or miscommunications further down the line. Thank you for understanding!
  13. Hi @leliep, sorry to hear you are facing difficulties with the active leveling. You don't have to fix it yourself, but it can be your choice if you want to. In any case, I would recommend to get in touch with your reseller and discuss with them what the best course of action is in order to fix this. It can be that you prefer to do it yourself, but even then it is smart to mention this to your reseller to avoid any complications further down the road. If you prefer an official repair, you should be able to get this as well. Good luck!
  14. Could you try again? I just added the option 'I don't have an X'. I noticed the same. Thanks!
  15. I figured it is time for a poll! So far, we haven't had much of those around here. So.. which version of Cura do you use? So we don't have to choose from 50 versions, I bundled some and stopped at 15.04. Still testing the capabilities of this feature, looks like you have to submit an answer to every question so when you have selected your version, make sure to select 'I don't own X' for the others. Looking forward to hear from you!
  16. Ah, it is set to a max of 10 reactions/likes a day. I guess I didn't expect us to be such a likeable bunch of people when I set it up initially I'll change it to unlimited, so you should be able to express your appreciation to your fellow forum members again! Apologies for the inconvenience.
  17. Hi @yellowshark , thank you for sharing your feedback! I understand. I'll see if this workflow can be improved. The entire workflow/how notifications work could be improved somewhat, but last time I checked in there was no capacity to work on this. I'll check in with them again and let you know if the future looks brighter today. Have a good day!
  18. Hi Brulti, did the forum software tell you this? There are limitations to new users, to protect us from being spammed into oblivion but you should be in the clear. Could you try again, and if you can not, could you send me a DM? This should still work.
  19. My first attempt of 'backspace' didn't work, I'm sure you tried it as well Let me take a deeper look.
  20. .. I suppose this process of sharing and uploading the latest Beta version is also still in beta
