  1. It depends which guys you mean... 3rd party printer profiles have to be contributed by the community and/or the manufacturer. Ultimaker is only responsible for the Ultimaker printer profiles.
  2. This article might be helpful too: https://ultimaker.com/en/resources/44677-maximum-build-volume-ultimaker-2-plus-ultimaker-3
  3. RetractWhileCombing was developed for legacy Cura and is not compatible with current Cura versions anymore. Meanwhile additional combing options made that old functionality obsolete for me.
  4. @Carla_Birch Your S5 is clearly affected by the led bug that has been fixed in the current firmware (or should be). If you are already on firmware version 5.1.7, please perform a Cura connect reset and check the brightness settings again.
  6. There is a post by Ultimaker already, see @SandervG's post above...
  7. There is one important thing you can and should do to avoid such a situation. Check the silicon nozzle cover regularly and change it when any of the cutouts for the nozzle starts to disintegrate. My theory what happened in your case is that the nozzle cover was damaged and material started to flow into the head. At some point, it pushed the front bracket open and then the print head started to rip at the already printed pieces pushing the glass plate out of the fixation which then stuck to the print head somehow and pushed it out of the sliding blocks.
  8. If you change the print speed the script changes all print speeds in the gcode from that point on. So if you use the script once, print speeds after the trigger layer are effectively reduced to 50%. If you use it again, it will depend on the output of the first usage and reduce the print speeds again by 50% (so 25% now compared to the original value). If you want to change up and down, you have to implement a 50% change and then a 200% change for print speed.
  9. Cursing does probably not speed up things at @Ultimaker. I think e.g. @SandervG has probably already passed the request on to the right people or could give an advise here who to tag for this. I apologize if a previous post by me made someone think the issue was ressolved and led to a disappointment; I edited that post in the meantime. Please be aware I do not work at Ultimaker; so please do not blame them for that wrong statement.
  10. I would first try a factory reset as you will have to put your UM3EXT into developer mode and log in for the procedure described above.
  11. Try reinstalling the firmware. If that does not help, please try a factory reset.
  12. Yes, as the original motor is used for them things like cable length do not even matter.
  13. You can do that already: tap on the build plate in the configuration overview and then tap on the three dots in the upper right corner. This opens a menu from which you can select "set temperature".
  14. Current Windows computers provide that feature with a standard LAN cable, no crossed cable necessary due to network cards which can switch the lines. I always use a standard ethernet cable when I demonstrate the connectivity on a customer's site where no WiFi/Ethernet connection is available yet. As far as I have been told it's the same for Macs.
  15. The S5 feeder is ready for abrasive filament due to a protective coating.
  16. That was wrong information, sorry. It still goes only to a minimum. It looked different in the light situation at that time. But afaik it is planned to implement a complete switch-off into the S5 firmware.
  17. Indeed a reboot on network problems is not typical at all. I recommend to get in contact with your reseller / support provider.
  18. No manual intervention between having a full history - update - empty print history.
  19. The generic profiles are not that generic. They actually represent Ultimaker materials just without a color. So you will always find only Ultimaker materials for generic profiles for Ultimaker printers in Cura. But as @Smithy said, the CPE and CPE+ profiles might work for a relatively broad range of co-polyesters including PETG.
  20. There is a much easier way for the S5. Go to Cura Connect and select your printer (not the queue). There you find three dots on top right which opens a menu. That menu includes an option to rename the printer. UM3 users have to be a bit patient; this should also come to your printer as the S5 firmware is now ported step by step to the UM3 (note it will show there only the UM3 features and not the S5 features).
  21. No, only the display changes to the current view. There is no timeout or similar for the leds in the S5 firmware.
