  1. Make sure you set the support extruder to the extruder with PVA - it's set to the first extruder by default. I once or twice suggested that Cura should switch to the second extruder for support automatically if PVA is loaded there but that suggestion seems somehow be lost somewhere in vast space of the Cura to do list or Universe.
  2. Can you please give some detail information about the temperature correction for the right nozzle (why has it been applied and does it raise or lower the effective temperature)?
  4. Works for me (with both UM material and a custom material). Are you on Cura 3.0.x?
  5. I had a similar situation with one Cura 3.0.3 installation. The machines were gone in the settings but loading a Cura project brought them back.
  6. With a high quality PLA 60 deg should not be an issue unsupported on an UM3. It even works on an UM2+ which has a bit less cooling power due to the different type of fans. Just make sure you have 100% of the cooling power available. And be aware that the most of the cooling comes from the left and from the right (a bit more from the left if you use the left printcore slot). If you have not yet done so you might want to use a higher layer thickness. 0.15mm gives walls almost as nice as 0.1mm but take much less time to print.
  9. Same findings here. It does not reduce print time but it gets rid of a significant part of the travelling mess. So please feel free to go for the next step and include infill into the optimization.
  10. You may have a look at the hardware sources on Github. The Ultimaker 2+ printer is open source after all.
  11. Stell doch mal in den Cura Einstellungen die Option "keep objects apart" ab und freue Dich Allerdings würde ich die Teile etwas drehen so dass alle gut belüftet werden (falls Du mit PLA druckst).
  12. Did you go down all the way down with Temperature to the region where underextrusion begins? I would be a bit surprised if a really lower Temperature would not improve the situation. You can also try to increase retract speed and length a bit.
  13. Ich hatte mit S3D 4.0 auch schon solche Effekte, allerdings erst am Ende des Prints.
  14. So do you have "just" an optical mouse or a laser mouse? The difference is that laser mice are capable of tracking movements on transparent materials, normal optical mice are not. It does have to be a laser sensor for the filament.
  15. You may find this thread interesting: https://ultimaker.com/en/community/39626-um2-head-on-umo
  16. I hear this request quite often from pro users. I hope it's in the Cura TOP50?
  17. You probably checked the technical data sheet. The safety data sheet is more specific.
  18. different PCs, all with i7 but with different ages (from 5 to 3 years old), all with Win10
  19. It seems it is a bit different for various users for quite some time. While some users do not experience any problems, others get an error message but it works while a third group can't get it updated. Usually a simple way to improve communication over USB is to take a short cable. disclaimer: the above statement is not based on solid statistics but rather from feedbacks I got over the last few months.
  20. If you check the safety data sheet of Ultimaker ABS you might see that this filament does not only consist of ABS but is a blend of ABS, PC and PET. This might explain the unusual behavior with acetone vapor. You might want to use pure ABS for the acetone treatment.
  21. In case the OP is a pro user and does not want to use a tinker method like the one suggested by @gr5, a good point of making sure the active levelling is working properly is to clean both nozzles and the glass before performing the active levelling.
  22. Cura 3.0.3 runs significantly smoother here than 2.7.0.
  23. There are a few other things that were only included in the HBK such as certain cables. Of course a maker could make them himself but then he could also make the pcb himself. edit: the pt100 can be connected to the Ultiboard 1.5.x by using a 4.7kohms resistor... edit2: if you use the bed in bang-bang mode (non-pid) you can use a simple car relay and an additional 24V PSU.
