  1. Hi, the blue tower is called prime tower and can be activated / deactivated in the "dual extrusion" setting. It's main duty is to prime and wipe the inactive nozzle when switching, so no unwanted material is contaminating your print (same as an ooze shield). I always use the prime tower when printing dual, others never use it, so it's your choice. Regards
  2. The prime blob is located under "build plate adhesion", but is independent of the "real" build plate adhesion setting. So you can activate the prime blob for the second extruder without interfering to the brim/skirt settings. The goal is to make extruder 2 generate a prime blob just before moving to the prime tower. It will not participate in the skirt. So activation of the prime blob for extruder 2 should solve your problem. Regards
  3. Ups, that's not good ☹️. Have you enabled prime plob for the second extruder? If not, that may be the culprit. Regards
  4. Hi, whic Cura version are you using? I guess 4.9.0, which had that bug and acually is outdated. Try the new version 4.9.1. Regards
  5. In the new "Mesh Tools"-plugin there's also an option to choose the desired unit: Regards
  6. There was a beta release, as used to, but obviously, the beta testing users didn't do a good job... I guess Ultimaker is working for a bug fix with high pressure.
  7. Hi, not exactly, but there are a lot of versions online at Youmagine or Thingiverse. For example: https://www.youmagine.com/designs/easy-clips-for-ultimaker https://www.youmagine.com/designs/ultimaker2-bowden-cable-clip https://www.youmagine.com/designs/ultimaker-2-bowden-clip https://www.youmagine.com/designs/ultimaker-bowden-holder-clip Regards
  8. Hi, the Ultimaker part number for the ball bearing (F688-2RS) is 1220, according to the official parts manual (see page 7) UM3_Parts_Manual.pdf The official resellers should have it, even if not listed on their HP, all they need is the part-#. Regards
  9. I'm sorry to say so, but you're wrong. If the distance between lowered bed and head is shorter than the controller thinks (which means, shorter than it should be), the bed hasn't lowered enough, it didn't lower too much. Check the Z switch as suggested, as it's easily be done, also check, if the Z enstop works at all (in systems menu).
  10. Hi, it sounds a bit confusion, as moving past the Z end stop (lowering the bed to much) would normally result in to much space between print bed and printhead at start of print. Your problem may result in the bed stopping before the Z end stop is reached. So you should check the small pit where the Z end switch is located for debries blocking the Z switch. Regards
  11. Indeed, prime blob of extruder 2 is not performed. For extruder 1 it works as used to.
  12. Hi James, what's happened is called layer shift. The reason is a lose pulley or a skipped belt, so you should check that. Ensure the set screws of the pulleys are tight and the tension of the short belts is ok. https://support.ultimaker.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011598659-Check-the-tension-of-the-short-belts https://support.ultimaker.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011490220-Check-for-play-on-the-axles-of-the-Ultimaker-3 Regards
  14. Ok, I understand. I misunderstood your question. If it' just one object on top of another (and another object ontop...) and each objects has an unique material and colour, you could try to do it "manually" by stacking the objects in Cura and manually change the filament, using post processing scripts (for example "pause at hight" or "change at hight").
  15. Multi material with a single extruder? I think this only works with a special setup as the Prusa MMS or the Palette. But that's totally out of my knowledge. Regards
  18. @Printer_supreme, thank you for the feedback, I'm glad I could help. Regards and Happy Printing
  19. Hi, I fear Cura doesn't run on a chromebook, as long it doesn't run linux. See this post: But I might be wrong (I first had to google what a chromebook is 😉). Regards
  20. This is not possible. If you have STLs created in imperial units, I recommend the "Barbarian Plugin" by @nallath (in the marketplace) to convert them to metric.
  22. Hi, there's been a change some time ago. Below is a picture which compares the "original"/old style covers for original UM3 printheads and the new ones for the revision. Regards
  23. You could run the diagnostics for the activ leveling sensor and refer to the result. The diagnostics will show you if the sensor works correctly, of if there's an interference-problem or a problem with the sensor. I don't think it's interference, as you've checked nearly every possible source and the other printer in this room works properly. Is the light in that room a possible source for EMI? I guess it's a problem with the wires that connect the leveling sensor with the printhead board (but that's just a guess). Regards
